In Autumn 2023, we launched a new half-termly youth event called Alive. Since it has started we are pleased to have had young people from 10 different churches attend so far, as well as youth who have never attended a church service before.
The next event takes place on Sunday 7th July 2024.

Timings:
Doors Open – 7pm
Main Event Starts – 7:30pm
Talk Starts – approx 8:00pm
Main Event Ends by – 9pm
Young People Leave/Picked Up by: 9:30pm
When planning we have tried to be generous with timings as we know youth events often overrun. As it is a school night we want to make sure everyone is home by a sensible time and that parents don’t need to hang around waiting at the end. The main event may finish slightly earlier than 9pm but that will just allow more social time at the end.
What actually happens at the event?
Before the main event there will be time to socialise with games (e.g. Uno and Jenga), colouring, other activities and a tuck shop (cash only).
At 7:30pm everyone will take their seats. There will be a game led from the stage, then a short time of worship. We will then introduce the guest speaker who will speak for around 20 minutes. We will go into another time of worship and give an opportunity for prayer. We aim to finish by 9pm. There will be a bit more social time at the end but ask that all the young people leave by 9:30pm.
We hope the event will be accessible for all whether they have been going to church their whole life, attend a youth group or Pulse group, or have never been to church and have been brought along by a friend.
