Keynote Speaker: Dave Brackenridge

National Director of British Youth For Christ and Senior Pastor of Home Church Scotland

Dave is a Scottish musician, international speaker, charity founder, and pastor, known for his passionate commitment to young people, the local church, and gospel transformation. He began his ministry as a youth worker before leading the award-winning Christian rock band Royal Foundlings, which toured across the UK, USA, and Europe with a bold message of faith and hope. He later founded Rookie Rockstars, a Scottish charity using music and mental health education to empower young people in schools and communities. His innovative work has earned commendations from both the Scottish Parliament and the UK Parliament at Westminster for its impact on youth and education. Today, Dave serves as Senior Pastor of Home Church Scotland, one of the fastest growing churches in the nation, and as National Director/CEO of British Youth for Christ. Recognised by the Oklahoma House of Representatives for his contribution to ministry and global outreach, Dave’s heart remains simple: to lead as many young people to Jesus.

Worship Leader: Emma Jackson

Worship Development Coordinator at West Kirby United Reformed Church

Picture

Emma Jackson is employed as the Worship Development Coordinator at West Kirby URC and has been part of their wider church leadership for many years. She is an experienced worship leader who has led worship at many conferences, camps and local churches across the North West, as well as advising other churches with worship development.

Emma leads and coordinates West Kirby URC’s Unite service for Gen Z, and volunteers her time for the Youth Team at the local and national Church. She has a passion to see this generation come to know Jesus and be transformed by His presence. Emma is also a trained professional dancer and choreographer and still enjoys working with younger people in this context too.

Ranging from restaurants and pubs to takeaways and supermarkets:

    • An idea of the local restaurants and cafes can be found here
    • Similarly, info about the local takeaways can be found here
    • There is also an Aldi just across the road from the venue, and a Morrisons a 5 minutes walk away towards the seafront

And there is also a wonderful beach area with marine lake and prom nearby which is very pleasant if the weather is good.

Travel details

The venue address is:

    • West Kirby United Reformed Church, Meols Drive, West Kirby, Wirral, Merseyside, CH48 5DA

    • Google Maps link

Car parking:

The West Kirby area is usually very popular on the weekends, meaning car parking can be difficult, so we have arranged to make use of the FREE car park of the school next door to the venue – West Kirby School & College
There are 60 parking spaces available here, and the car park will only be open for arrivals from 9am to 9:45am.
Car park spaces CANNOT be booked sorry.
The car park has an automatic exit gate which will open at the approach of a car, from inside the car park to allow them to exit; but the entrance gate will not open automatically, so arrival by 9:45am to use the car park is necessary.
Please note: this does mean that once you leave the car park, you cannot regain access to it later.

Outside of this car park, there is free road parking available along Meols Drive, and in nearby side roads.
Including parking permitted on the YELLOW zig-zags outside of West Kirby School during the weekend.
Please note: We DO NOT RECOMMEND to park in either of the supermarket car parks –  Aldi or Morrisons – as they both have camera operated time limits in use, and will issue fines to cars that overstay.

There are also some pay and display car parks available a short walk away from the venue.

Public Transport:

West Kirby has excellent links to public transport:
    • West Kirby Train Station is a 3 minute walk away from the venue.
    • Many bus routes also drop-off and pick up from outside West Kirby Concourse Leisure Centre,
which is a 4 minute walk away from the venue.
