We work in Wirral secondary schools aiming to encourage young people to develop a fresh understanding of Christianity and provides opportunities to explore faith in relevant ways. We do this through assemblies, RE & PSHE lessons, Mentoring, and PULSE, our network of youth workers delivering lunchtime provision.
Secondary Schools
Assemblies will either be delivered by a member of our team, or one of our church volunteers who is local to the school.
Suggested topics include: Christmas, Easter, Ambition, Inspiration, Positive Thinking, Team Work, Social media & popular culture.
Topics may vary depending on assembly timetable, how regular the assemblies are and if the school requests something specific.
All the assemblies we offer are free of charge.
We offer a number of RE lessons for secondary schools and they are written specifically depending on the age group. Although the lessons vary between key stage 3 & 4, we can adapt them for alternative age groups upon request.

Pulse is a network set up by Wirral Youth for Christ to help churches and schools connect to run lunchtime groups with the aim of helping young people explore the Christian faith. Through Pulse we are able to reach young people through sharing stories, asking questions and building relationships between schools and the local church.

For young people, growing up raises lots of questions; about their good and bad experiences, about their sense of wonder at the universe we live in and whether there’s more to life than meets the eye. Many have an interest in the non-material aspects of life, the spirit or soul, and want to explore how these ideas and experiences can help them to develop their own sense of identity, self-worth, personal insight, meaning and purpose.
Prayer Space enables young people, of all faiths and none, to explore these life and faith questions in a safe, creative and interactive way. It also gives them an opportunity to develop skills of personal reflection and to explore prayer in an open, inclusive and safe environment. Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural aspects can be achieved through Prayer Space.
